MS Walk

Sarah and I spent the morning in Stanley Park taking part in the MS Walk, a fundraiser to help fight Multiple Sclerosis. We went with some neighbours, one of whom has a family member with MS.

It was near-perfect weather, with hardly a cloud in the sky. The only unpleasantness was a chill breeze coming in from the ocean.

We registered early and had plenty of time. Sarah and some mates (Justin, Luke and Matthew) played in the playground.

Sarah had her scooter - they, and rollerblades and skateboards, were included in the event with walkers and runners. She took time to ride before the start.

At the start, Sarah was at the front. She chose to do the 5km route around much of Stanley Park.

Lost Lagoon was also on the route; across the lagoon is the West End.

After a few minutes to catch her breath and enjoy a chocolate milk, Sarah spent a while high-fiving others as they finished.
