Today we had a birthday party for Sarah. Her actual birthday was late December of course, but being so close to the holidays, it's hard to schedule one more event, so Margo agreed to put a party together early in the new year, and that day was today.
Margo arranged a package at our nearby recreation centre, following the time-honoured tradition of children's birthday parties we first learned in England: kids run around for about an hour, then congretate at a table, eat rubbish food, eat birthday cake, open prezzies, then run around a while more.
The package included staff-led activities like water balloon catch, and this rope swing.
We brought the food ourselves, so it wasn't too awful. But you know most of the veg and fruit came home with us.
Fun with party hats.
Time to make a wish ...
Sharing prezzies ...
And, back in the water!

Oh love all that stuff! But better to watch from afar. Erin is too small for that and Siobhan has outgrown it. To sophisticated now. But the hat! I have a picture of Gary in the same funny hat design. I will email it. Sarah might enjoy it!!! Love to all! Brenda
I didn't have my first pool party until I was 18~! Looks like it was a blast!!! Sarah is becoming quite a beautiful "tween," right?
